Senior middle blocker Deborah Bekowies captured the Player of the Year award in the closest vote for Player of the Year in recent memory. LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Cold shooting would doom the Hawks as they drop the season opener at Biola, the Nations 17th ranked NAIA I club.

Holy Names University senior Mustafa Celik was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Players of the Week for the dates of October 12th through 19th, 2009.

The hawks showed resiliency Saturday as they defeated Simpson and William Jessup in the CAL-PAC PREVEIW.
