Oakland, CA - California Pacific Conference regular season champion Holy Names and conference runner-up Menlo each placed three players on the 2011 All-California Pacific Conference women's basketball team, which was announced today by commissioner Don Ott.
Holy Names, which ran through the conference with a perfect 12-0 record, headlines the honor list with Lesley Vodiscka and sisters Britni and Jamie Ronolo. Menlo added the trio of Monique Ayers-Cavello, Erika Garcia, and Stephanie Truong.
William Jessup sophomore Ashley Rose, the league's leading scorer with 18.1 ppg in California Pacific Conference play, captured the conference's Player of the Year honor and is the Warriors' lone first-team choice. William Jessup coach Guin Boggs takes home the Coach of the Year honor.
Vodiscka, the league's assist leader and was second in steals per game, is the Defender of the Year. Ayers-Cavello was named Newcomer of the Year.
Bekah Wofford of Simpson is the Freshman of the Year.
