Hawks Lose In 5 To The Slugs of Santa Cruz

The Lady Hawks had a slow start loosing the first game, but came back to win games two and three. Unfortunately, the Lady Hawks were not able to pull through in games four and five. Loosing 2-3 the scores of the games were 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, and 12-15. Ashley Nickell led the Hawks with 16 kills, Ariel Carmichael behind her with 11 kills, and Kendra Vasquez and Brittany Silvia with 8 kills. Rebecca Chase leading with 17 assists.

Holy Names University begin league with two wins in pre-season. They will start the season against Menlo at home on Friday.
