ROCKLIN, Calif – The No. 22 Holy Names University Women’s Basketball team (22-8, 15-1) traveled to William Jessup on Saturday and came away with the 68-57 win.

Jessup then was able to close the lead down to 10 with 2:50 remaining following a foul and technical foul called against an HNU player. The Warriors had no choice but to foul down the stretch and HNU was able to connect on free throws to never allow Jessup a chance to win.

Despite turning the ball over 27 times in the game, HNU was able to still outrebound WJU 48 to 37. HNU attempted 40 free throw shots compared to WJU’s 26. For the game the Hawks shot 37% to the Warrior’s 28%. Each team forced a similar amount of turnovers but HNU was able to generate 23 points compared to 10 by WJU.
