Rebecca Chase Named Co-Player of the Week
Oakland, CA - Rebecca Chase and Deborah Bekowies Selected As Co-Volleyball Players of the Week.
Holy Names University junior Rebecca Chase and Menlo College senior Deborah Bekowies were selected as the California Pacific Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the dates of October 12th through 19th, 2009.
Chase, a native of Sacramento, California, had 41 kills, 32 assists and 21 digs in a 1-2 week for the Hawks. The Hawks lost to Academy of Art University 3-2 on Thursday in Oakland, beat William Jessup University 3-1 at home on Friday and lost to Menlo College 3-0 on Saturday in Atherton.
A native of Benicia, California, Bekowies had 39 kills in a 3-0 week for the Oaks. Menlo beat Academy of Art University 3-1 in San Francisco on Tuesday, beat Simpson University 3-0 in Atherton on Friday and won 3-0 over Holy Names University in Oakland on Saturday.
Holy Names University continues their 2009 California Pacific Conference schedule Friday as they take on Bethany University in Scott's Valley. Menlo College continues their Cal Pac Conference schedule Friday as they take on Mills College in Oakland.
