The Holy Names University Sports Camps are nearly through week four of nine weeks of Summer Basketball and Volleyball Camps. The first 4 weeks have been a tremendous success as camp the Director and Coaches have taught not only valuable athletic skills, but equally as valuable life skills.

As the end of the fourth week nears over 270 East Bay youths have been provided a week of lessons in Character based Athletic. The Summer Sports Camps focus on fundamental skills, as well as incorporating the NAIA’s Champions of Character core values into the week long sessions. Each day of the week one of the five core values is the focus of camp and is conveyed to the campers through discussion and counselor skits. The five Champions of Character core values are; Respect, Integrity, Servant Leadership, Sportsmanship and Responsibility.

Great job to Josh Dozier (Basketball Camp Director) and to our HNU student athletes who continue to be tremendous role models at our day camps!

Go Hawks!
